Isn’t this all a waste of time? The highest yielding dividend stocks are under 4%. Just stick your money in a savings account at 5% and make way more.

Question. Why "in theory" would you want to have less positions? or are you saying that your just getting rid of your low earners? I would take my profit per month, and invest it back into more positions in companies, or more stocks to add more dividends. Is that your goal though? To keep adding more stocks and more, until your making 3-10k a month?

Huh, I have a Portfolio 5 times lower than your portfolio, but in yearly dividends its as high as your 2023 dividends. You might have to relook at your portfolio. With that amount in your portfolio you should be making at least 15k a year in dividends.

I would just buy real estate. At a $1.8MM account value unleveraged you could have real asset value of around $9MM assuming a 5% cap rate, after servicing the debt you would be at $15k per month and you would be able to do this probably earlier than 10 years in the future. Also, you would have the capital appreciate of the properties as well which you can leverage for lines of credit.
